From the car park, the route goes left along the lane for about half a mile's walking. Then after passing through a gate on the right, an invigorating walk is taken over wild moorland with extensive views. Passing over another lane, the path continues over more moorland with tumuli passed on the way. Reaching a reservoir, the route turns right along a tarmacked drive, crosses a lane, then continues through hilly and attractive scenery. Lastly a stroll up a shallow valley takes you back to the car park.

Just completed this walk, first impressions were a little disappointing as you follow a busy back road for 800 or so metres, but once you turn off and on to what becomes a very nice track continues through to the end and a steady but steep climb back to the car park. Very enjoyable and quiet..
