A circular walk from Shiplake Station covering the area to the south of Henley, mainly along quiet country roads and lanes with some open farmland; a lovely family walk for a sunny afternoon, with no uphill climbs at all. Chat to the donkeys at Waymark 2, watch the boats go through the lock at Waymark 11 and see if you can spot that miniature railway at Waymark 13. The Thamesside path is just perfect for that picnic and if you really need something to look forward to at the end of this walk, look no further than the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake.

I am always concerned that I'll not be able to get my dog (Saluki) under the stiles. On this walk there was sufficient space under each fence for him to squeeze under. We didn't see any bison.

A lovely walk for a warm summer Sunday. We even managed a paddle in the river along the Thames path.

Nice easy walk. Average walker will take no longer than 2 hours. WM6 - no problem with bison as field is now enclosed by fences. Watch out for cyclists in WM14 on narrow footpath :0(

At point 5-6 when you cross the stile in the field corner there is a tiny pathway to walk through with a high fence on either side. Be aware there are about 20 very large and quite scarey big beast. Having looked on the internet I believe these are North American Bison and the farm actually holds a dangerous animal licence to keep them. The animals were very aware of me walking through and began to make bull like noises. This is definatly not for the faint hearted.
