A flat and easy walk with no strenuous uphill climbs, it should take you no more than 3.5 hours at a steady pace. Unless of course you intend to visit the three pubs en route or explore the delightful Thamesside village of Sonning, in which case perhaps you should make an early start! The second half of the walk is along a charming two-mile stretch of the Thames Path from Sonning to Shiplake. Please note that there is a very fast road crossing at Waymark 10 and great care is needed here.

Walked on 16/01/2012. Completed in 2.5 hours at very easy pace. Navigation: In Step 2, the overhead power lines have disappeared and in same area only one stile and no footpath sign. This caused us to lose direction, but regained within half a mile. Can the walk text be suitably corrected?

Really good walk - fantastic countryside - no real hills but in the muddy ground - it is fairly tiring! It took me 2hrs 40mins with 2 short stops. Instructions very thorough - few minor additions (AL) to text added January 08.
