Shotesham - Saxlingham Green - Saxlingham Nethergate - Shotesham

The walk passes five flint churches, two of which are ruined. It visits the pretty villages of Shotesham, which has three churches and Saxlingham Nethergate, which has two.

Some of the footpaths pass through land managed by the Shotesham Estate, which has started an active wildlife conservation scheme (Oct 2000).

Unusually for Norfolk, Shotesham All Saints Church stands on a hill(!) and affords fine views over the common and beyond. The walk may be done all year round, though is probably easiest in the early autumn.
