Shrawley Woods is, according to the Forestry Commission, one of the largest small-leaved lime woodlands in the country. It also has a spectacular display of bluebells in April and May.

The walk starts at the New Inn in Shrawley. The walk drops briefly to the River Severn before heading back into the woods to return to the walk start.

On the return we head along the boundary of the grounds of Shrawley Wood House to Goodyears Farm, then Brant House Farm before heading back to the start at the New Inn.

There is a payment for parking at the pub which is refunded on any food or drink you buy. The Car Park is LOCKED outside of pub opening hours.

We got halfway round this stunning walk which was spoilt for us by a number of dog impenetrable stiles. This was a result of new sheep wire across the stiles and no dog access gaps. We have two black labradors and our only option was to lift the dogs over a number of the stiles which was not easy! We were also intimidated by over-signage regarding warnings about livestock, demanding that dogs be kept on leads and in one empty field a sign saying there was a bull in the field. We met some friendly local walkers who explained that the landowner was unpopular and anti-dog.
