A walk from the roadside along olive grove tracks past an old quarry and onto a huge rocky outcrop with superb views over Iznajar Lake; the outcrop is home to eagles and other raptors. Then it's down a steep track to the lakeside bay near to where the River Solerche enters. Stroll through pine and olive forests, circumnavigating the rocky outcrop above before ascending very steep tracks to join the incoming track and return to the parking area.

The way down to the track above the reservoir is about 35º and there are no visible paths since the olive growers’ heavy equipment has eradicated them. It is loose and slippery underfoot in the prevailing dry conditions and great care is needed. It is really a matter of getting down to the track as best one can. The ascent is equally steep, though on a clear track at least. A reasonable level of fitness is needed for this one.
