This walk, starting and ending at Kemble Station in the heart of the Cotswolds, takes you to the source of the River Thames, the disused Thames and Severn Canal and the villages of Sapperton and Tarlton. You will walk through gently undulating, open countryside and woodlands. Two excellent pubs on the route will provide refreshment stops.

Walkers should be aware that the start point of Kemble Station car park is on the EAST (i.e. village) side of the railway line. If you start out from the car park with the pub adjacent, you're on the wrong side of the tracks!

This starts as a very lovely walk and the scenary is fantastic! However I would just like to warn other walkers that the end of the walk is 2 miles on a tight, busy country lane! Sorry to put a dampener on an otherwise peaceful walk.
