This walk is beside two rivers, the Thurne and the Bure, where a multitude of birds and other wildlife can be seen, including deer. It starts in the free car park at South Walsham Broad. After the river walk it continues through the village of Upton, then crosses fields and country lanes to South Walsham.

Section through woods at points 4-5 is now most challenging unless you are ready for thick growth and chest high nettles. Looked for alternative route through woods but wide stream prevents this. We managed to scramble along the overgrown path but would advise on covered arms and legs if you want to take it on, now paying the price. Aside from this an excellent walk.
