Definitely good advice about parking at Marsh Farm Car Park. Thank you. A lovely walk with lovely views. Also recommend wellies as it was muddy at the beginning and end of the walk. Also the last point was deceiving as it did not tell us to turn right down the gravel path so we nearly ended up walking past it. Other than that, perfectly clear instructions.

The Sat Nav post code of SS5 6PJ is on the wrong side of the river for the start of the walk! Better to give the post code of Marsh Farm which is CM3 5WP. Otherwise an excellent walk although muddy in places.

Took this walk in November after a lot of rain!! It was very wet and boots are highly recommended. Also it made going very slippery in places on sea wall, not for elderly or young children after recent heavy rains. Otherwise excellent to find an interesting walk in the depths of Essex. Note: the car park recommended was closed for the winter,so try the Marsh Farm Car Park down the road, and you should be able to get a cup of tea in their cafe after your walk.
