The walk, starting at Southrop, is through some of the best Cotswolds scenery, with fine views of the surrounding countryside and pleasant paths through fields and alongside streams and rivers.

The outward leg passes through the attractive village of Eastleach with its two churches.

The walk starts and finishes at an excellent pub, The Swan, in Southrop.

It is however, mainly cross-country and although not particularly arduous, in places the route is across open fields and the route is not always obvious. Some aptitude for map-reading is therefore recommended.

6/6/2017 - David and Chris Stewart

We did this walk 1/6/2017 and have made minor updates. It was a fabulous day and a great walk through beautiful countryside. There were several fields of cattle but they were all very docile and it was easy to give them wide berths. We do recommend taking water for dogs (and humans) on hot days.
