This section of the St Cuthbert's Way leaves the small village of Morebattle, to walk along country lanes before an ascent of Wideopen Hill, the highest point on the St Cuthbert's Way and also the halfway point of this long-distance walk. From here we are rewarded by magnificent panoramic views of the Border Country, before we descend to Kirk Yetholm with a stroll alongside the Bowmont Water. We finish in the village at the Border Hotel, being the end of the Pennine Way and the conclusion of this section of the St Cuthbert's Way.
