This is the continuation of Walk 129.

The walk to Pendeen Watch is level across gorse-cropped clifftop, once you have climbed out of Porthmoina Cove on the other side of the headland and tackled the path as it negotiates a couple of rocky outcrops. These stand sentinel against all that the sea has thrown at them over the years, with Rosemergy being the more spectacular. The buildings passed about a mile distant are the remains of Morvah Mine. Just before Pendeen Watch, the path descends steeply into Portherris Cove, where at low tide you will find a cracking sandy beach. From Pendeen Watch you will need to walk about a mile inland to find a bus stop and signs of civilisation.

If going to Penzance it is necessary to follow the path as it climbs to the top of the hill, called Carn Galva, inland from Bosigran. A slight detour onto the rocky summit will reward you with breathtaking views. A bridleway makes an easy walk down the other side and on to the engine house at Ding Dong Mine. Now it's a mixture of road- and field-walking, all with that satisfying hint of gentle descent back to Penzance.
