The Walk starts in the small village of Stanton Fitzwarren before heading south under the trackbed of the Swindon to Highworth railway line. The route runs along the Kingsdown Lane before cutting across country to reach Broad Brunsdon and St Leonards Church.
The walk leaves the village and heads for Castle Hill which is an ancient monument. Unfortunately, it is privately owned and you cannot wander around. Carefully descending Castle Hill, the walk proceeds through a number of fields before arriving at Lawn Lane.
There follows a short but sharp climb to arrive in the interesting hill top village of Hannington where you will find the Jolly Tar Pub. Leaving Hannington, the walk gradually heads downhill to eventually reach the B4019.
A short stretch of Verge walking follows before the route once again follows the disused railway line. After clambering over a stile/footbridge combination, the walk re-enters the village of Stanton Fitzwarren and the start of the walk.
