This is a beautiful walk through undulating countryside in Suffolk, one not to be missed. You follow field-paths,quiet country lanes, pass through two farms, through the superb grounds of Gifford Hall and walk a stretch along the Stour Valley Path. Along the route there are great views all round; you pass some lovely thatched cottages and for refreshments, the walk takes you past The Cock Inn at Polstead and The Crown Pub at Stoke-by-Nayland. Right at the end you pass by the lovely church which sits high on the hill at Stoke-by-Nayland, worth popping in for a browse.

Excellent route through deepest Suffolk, very well plotted and described. Will just add that the second part of the field-edge stretch between 20 and 21 is very overgrown - no fun at all, and rather than 'ignore a path on the left' I'll take it next time and follow the road round to point 21. Otherwise highly recommended.
