This walk starts off close to the village church and follows a route through the centre past a very nice pub and out into the countryside. The opening stretch follows part of the long-distance route called the St Edmund's Way and takes you past open countryside, listed buildings and beautiful little cottages.

Towards the end of the route the path takes in two viewpoints, the first over a large pond with many birds around and the second is a slight detour, but a visit to the larger lake is well worth it.

A very nice short walk coming in at exactly 4 miles, excellent instructions too.Just three updates,at waymark 6,just before you reach Scotland Place, the path now turns right through a gate, then turns left to reach the road,at waymark 9,you need to choose the signposted path which is slightly to the left,if you go up the one directly ahead, its a dead end,and at waymark 11 the stile is no longer there.
