A good climb to begin with sets the tone for this roller-coaster of a walk along high ridges and gentle-sided valleys, with some really superb views. The route follows some of the quieter Chiltern paths with no pubs on the way, just glorious scenery and red kites for company. If you have time and energy left at the end of the day, pay a visit to historic Stonor House, which is open during the summer months.

We did this walk on 18/03/2007. On a sunny spring day it is a beautiful walk with a great variety of terrain with good paths and fabulous views. Lots of bird and wildlife too, especially, as with all walks in this area, innumerable red kites. I thoroughly recommend it.
