A charming walk in the Chiltern Hills, partly in the grounds of historic Stonor Park. Part of the walk is on small country lanes. Look out for Red Kites.

More or less a perfect short walk with beautiful views in Stonor Park and during the descent in the final third. Elizabeth’s short-cut is a good one, but the road is quiet so this may still be the better option when the season’s wet & muddy.

To avoid some road work, at point 3, upon reaching the road and turning left, take the lane that runs along the far side of a small common, in front of some house, to a footpath on the left. Keep straight on, ignoring crossing paths, through woods till emerging onto a road and turn left. You then pick up the route at point 4. This point is a little confusing. You need to walk down the road for about 200 yards to the junction in pint 5 (there is a junction at point 4 - keep straight on). At point 8, turn right on to the track, in case you don't have a compass. This walk is beautiful, with fabulous views. Give it a try!

A gem of a walk with some great views. Under sold by the author. Ideal for the novice Chiltern walker before going onto something more strenuous. Needs a good review as there are some irregularities between words, pictures and waymarks.
