The walk, a mix of lanes, field-paths and tracks, visits a wood with an unusual history and a lot of wildlife. Considering that it is a level walk, it may be a surprise to find that there are views of the Welsh hills, not so far distant of course. It can be comfortably combined with Walk 3476. Although there are no facilities on the route itself, pubs, shops and cafes are not far away, notably in Bebington where there is a large Sainsbury's on the main road near the M53.
