You park in the National Trust car park at Stowe Gardens. These gardens are worthy of several days' exploration in themselves and have glorious trees and architecture, as well as the famous Stowe School. The walk however, makes a circle around the famous gardens and although the return leg is through a section of the parkland, it uses public footpaths throughout and you do not need to pay any entrance or parking fee. In fact the walk can be split in two, so that in this case you get three walks for the price of one! School.
