We start our walk by heading down into a wooded valley and following a stream into the village of Crackington Haven, where the walker will find refreshments and toilet facilities. The beach here is a good place to stop for a rest and picnic lunch, before tackling the hilly coast path with its spectacular views. The coast path returns us to our starting point and the beach 'The Strangles' should you wish to relax and swim. (You do not need swimwear at the Crackington end of the beach as it is a naturist beach).
Caution: be aware that the tide comes in very fast here and access to the small cove at the Crackington end is cut off for a couple of hours each side of high tide, although the cove itself is all right during this time.
