Beginning at the Greenway Park and picnic area, the route takes a pleasant track on the embankment of the old disused railway that further on runs alongside the Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse. A considerable stretch of the River Avon is taken to reach Luddington, then field-paths in a rural area before venturing through Bordon Wood. A little road-walking down Bordon Hill reaches Stratford-upon-Avon before the final leg along the route of the disused railway, where modern-day houses have been tastefully built.
