Suffolk Coast and Heaths Walk: Lowestoft to Southwold

Initially following the sea wall and beach, this section swings inland south of Kessingland and crosses farm and heathland as it works its way down to the lovely town and harbour of Southwold. The walk is very varied, from sandy dunes, quiet country lanes and farm tracks to concrete sea defences. The walk as described is the current, well-signed 'official' route.
Note that the walk as waymarked with distinctive blue discs is only shown on the most recent OS 50k maps (not 25k). Even then their route waymarking does not quite match the map! This is noted in the relevant section.
