From the very attractive stone and thatch village of Sulgrave, leave on a bridleway before taking other footpaths to visit the equally attractive village of Culworth. The whole walk is full of interest and beauty. Rolling Northamptonshire farmland is a constant feature and a joy to behold at any time of the year.

The large church of St Mary's graveyard in Culworth is very lovingly tended, an exceptional example of a garden of remembrance at its best, immaculate and generously planted with a colourful display of blooms of which villagers must be justifiably proud.

Sulgrave Manor, home to George Washington's ancestors, can easily be visited in conjunction with this walk and Canons Ashby House, a National Trust property, is also nearby. The village stocks stand beneath a huge beech tree on a green area in the vicinity of the church and the start of the walk.
