The route is along forestry tracks, other tracks and country lanes. There are fine views on nearly the whole of this walk. Deer can be seen in the forest and yellowhammers in the hedges, as well as the other normal country birds, pheasants, blackbirds etc.

Having checked the Norfolk Rights of Way map it appears there may not be a public right of way along Maidens Lane now. The Google Street View from 2009 clearly shows a Public Footpath sign but it appears that this might no longer be the case for reasons unknown. Now walkers may have to omit this section and continue straight along the road directly to waymark 4.

Did this walk last weekend in winter sunshine. It was straight forward to follow apart from stage 3 as the sign had disappeared and someone had built a mound across the track. We decided not to proceed and walked to 4 along the road in case there was no access for walkers now. The walk is pleasant rather than exciting as the countryside is very flat and pass around farm land and through conifer forests. We enjoyed it but will head for the hills next time! 1/2/20
