This is a delightful countryside walk, starting from the charming village of Swerford to visit the much bigger village of Hook Norton, which is nonetheless equally appealing. Lovely landscape and interesting features along the way, such as the remains of the viaduct of the now disused railway at Hook Norton and the motte and bailey at Swerford, make this a walk that will have special appeal. Both villages have picturesque stone churches and dwellings and Hook Norton has its own brewery and visitor centre, as well as several good pubs.
