You start in the village of Swineford, between Bristol and Bath. There is a parking area there. From there you head across countryside towards Bath, reaching the site of the battle of Lansdown (apparently no one really won!) before returning. You go through a couple of quite well-heeled villages in North Stoke and Upton Cheyney en route and get some great views of Bristol.
