A circular walk following the Cotswold Way just before it enters the city of Bath. There is one steep climb at the beginning of the walk to join the Cotswold Way. The view from the top across Bristol to the River Severn makes the effort well worth it. The descent back down is more gentle and views in the opposite direction will open out across the entire city of Bath.
The walk leaves the Cotswold Way just before it enters the city and joins the Avon Valley Trail, following the River Avon for most of the route back to the start. There is a choice of pubs along the route back where you can stop for food and drink.
