This is another walk in the heritage area and complements Walk 2027 in that it has three waymarks in common: 7, 8 and 12. After climbing Mynydd Varteg this walk also visits Carlos' Grave and explores a valley up behind Talywain. The whole area shows remains of coalmining and the entrance to an old drift mine is seen at Waymark 16. The views are excellent.
