Although the walk is based upon Cuerden Valley Park, it goes well beyond its boundaries. There are relatively few field-paths as the walk uses mainly paved paths in the park or surfaced cycleways, making it a good option for those soggy times of year. It is a figure-of-eight walk which has only one climb and two stiles and it may be started from car parks other than the one that I used, including one close to the new Visitor Centre with its café and toilets.

We did this walk on Sunday 6/12/20. Beautiful walk, we enjoyed it. The route was blocked at waymark7 with metal gate. We therefore continued ahead instead of turning left and this brought us to waymark 11. Route description was confusing at waymark 24/25 . The post sign was of Brothers of charity services and not of Lisieux Hall. Any way we managed to work out the route as the map helped . All in all beautiful walk

A great walk for winter, when fields are often muddy. Note that at no 19, there are wooden railings before the footbridge, which we confused with the footbridge which is a bit further on. Also, at 28, the stone lions are now horses heads!
