The Lion Inn, Gwytherin is the centre for the walks in this area. The ancient village of Gwytherin nestles deep in the Cledwyn Valley, unspoilt and with none of the crowds of Snowdonia. They say only heaven is more beautiful than the Cledwen Valley!

The walk passes alongside the stream up a beautiful wooded valley, into the farmland above and on to the edge of the moor. There are extensive views across the Cledwen Valley, back over the village and into Denbighshire.

There is abundant wildlife, birds and hedgerows teeming with wildflowers.

Lie back in the early evening sun and admire the view, while salivating at the prospect of the pint of real ale that will shortly be yours.
