Two left turns from Hunts Cross Station bring you onto a main road and to the start of the Loop Line 1km away. From here it is a simple matter of keeping to the line and ignoring the many link paths to the city. At the end of the walk a descent to street level brings you to within 400m of another station.

Having walked and cycled this path many times I have not had any issues either by myself or in a group. It is clear to see the graffiti and small fires which have been started although this is mainly an area you would avoid at night as there is no lighting and is a favored area with local groups of children etc. During the day you should have no issues and will get to see plenty of wildlife etc.

Feel I have to respond to John's comment. Walked this path yesterday and had no problems whatsoever. Also, for info, the path goes nowhere near Croxteth at all.

Be advised about the high level of robberies and other crimes on this path in the Croxteth area. I would not walk it alone or late in the day.
