I thought that this well-signposted trail combined many of the best footpaths to the north of Llangollen. In addition, it takes you to some of the best sights (and sites) in the area. It is possible to include a visit to the ruins of the abbey, have tea at Abbey Farm and add the extra climb to Dinas Bran Castle, although a lot of extra time will be needed. Most of the terrain is on good paths and there is only one very short but very steep section. You will enjoy good views of the North Berwyn Hills and of the castle as you approach it.

31.08.11. Lovely walk though number and height of stiles made it difficult for our golden retriever (no squeeze gaps, some lifting required!)Between points 7 and 8 bracken was very high and path narrow but negotiable. Views along the Clwydian Way (point 17-18) fantastic for little effort.
