A quiet and attractive walk through ancient woodland and fields on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain, near the Wiltshire/Hampshire border.

It starts on the outskirts of the riverside village of Collingborne Ducis, and climbs on to the escarpment, giving some great views, before heading back through the ancient Collingbourne Wood, once part of the massive Savernake Forest to the north.

It starts and finishes at an old traditional pub, the Shears Inn.

Great walk with great views and also woodland areas too. Part of the walk there was lots of mud, following rain but still great if wearing correct footwear. Nice pub stop at the end in the pub.
