A most enjoyable walk with much variety and some great views. The whole area is indeed a maze of paths and trees have grown up in many parts. I was unable to find the cairn at waymark 11 and overshot the turning. There was no cairn on Auchterhouse summit - so both seem to have been removed. I never found the gate at waymark 17 and ended up crossing fields and fences to reach the road. This didn't detract from my enjoyment of the walk however. The area (new to me) has great potential for walks - adding in Craigowl hill to the east would give a 3 summits trip!
