This walk starts off at the Woods End Staithe near Bramerton. It follows the river a short way along a narrow lane past the Woods End Pub (now called The Water's Edge) and then out into the countryside. It follows a section of the Wherryman's Way in the direction of Norwich before turning south-west and heading into Kirby Bedon.
The route passes two churches in Kirby Bedon, the currently used one on the left and the remains of another church on the right. The church was abandoned sometime before 1700 because of the merging of two parishes. The route continues along country lanes towards Bramerton and then turns back in the direction of the River Yare for a final section along the staithe back to the car park.
