Starting in the village of Holme Chapel, the walk takes you down through typical working farms before climbing onto open moorland. The route takes you along a good path on Deerplay Moor. Divert up to the pike at Thieveley to get excellent 360-degree views. Having then dropped down into Cliviger Gorge, walk under Thieveley Scout and around the back of Holme Chapel to get a fine view of Thieveley Scout.

Not a very good walk today. Very muddy and a bit boring to be honest . May be better in the summer time.

Just completed the walk today (30.1.2012). Good directions and easy to follow. Just one point. At waymark 11 there was no post showing the way uphill to Thieveley Pike. Two/Three inches of snow in the area so no visible path.
