The walk starts at the old harbour at Thornham and then goes along the North Norfolk Coastal Path to Holme-next-the-Sea. There are excellent views of the coast and sandy beaches and the creeks where wading and other seabirds can be seen.

At Holme-next-the-Sea a wooden 'sea henge' was recently discovered. The return journey is along tracks and country lanes, some of which have panoramic views of the coastline.

A lovely walk, very easy to follow. Although some of the early 'features' (such as yellow arrow on sign - waypoint 2) don't seem to be there anymore, you just keep on the Norfolk Coast path until you reach the golf course. Very useful public toilet as you enter the village of Holme next the Sea. The White Horse pub was closed for refurbishment (March 2024).

We completed this walk on 6th July 2021. During the walk you get many great views of The Wash and there is an opportunity to go on to the beach if you like. The main climbing stages come between points 9 and 11 but the views once you get to point 12 are worth the effort ! No problems between point 13 and 14 ( the orchards ) - there is no some good signposting. Would recommend this walk to everyone.

Completed this walk on Sunday 22 November in glorious autumn sunshine. A lovely walk, especially the section up to the golf course. In hindsight I would have liked to have done the walk in reverse as the whole section along the coast is amazing and I could have spent a little more time exploring. The section between 13 and 14 is a little tricky as the boardwalk is in need of some repair so care needed. All directions spot on.

Did this walk in mid April 2018. A lovely walk with great views. But we had a problem at point 13 (where we were supposed to walk through the orchards). We wanted to check directions with people in the farm shop next door and they said there was no right of way through the orchards and it was private land. They were a little less than friendly, so we ended up walking further along and returning via Staithes Lane. A good walk nevertheless.

This has become one of our favourite walks. But just to advise that there are currently works going on at the beginning of the walk and we were unable to proceed i.e. could not get to the NOA area and beyond - I understand from workmen that they will be working there until November 2013. As soon as they've finished we'll be back to do this one again!
