From the tiny village of Thurlaston, near Dunchurch in Warwickshire, this is a very pleasant little walk in most attractive surrounds. Rolling farmland, pockets of woodland and glimpses of Draycote Water in the distance are constant features and the appealing architectecture of local dwellings is another delight. A golf course is followed for a time and a disused railway cutting, now grown over and encompassed by trees, is crossed. Added to these pleasures is the bonus of Draycote Meadows, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, where flora and fauna are in bountiful supply, the natural glory complemented by birdsong.

We did this walk yesterday and we thought it was a great walk. It is a nice mixture of lane and field walking with some great views of Draycote water and some amazing houses to see. I will say one negative thing though and that is quite a few of the public footpath signs are missing so it is quite difficult to work out where to cross the fields. They had been ploughed and there was no obvious footpath. Thankfully I was using Viewranger on my iPad so I could actually follow the public footpath route. I would say that if someone does the walk by just following the directions at times it is going to be a bit of guesswork as to what direction you need to go. Thanks to Viewranger though we really enjoyed it. Thanks
