Tideswell - Litton - Cressbrook - Millers Dale - Wormhill - Tideswell

Starting from the Peak District village of Tideswell with its impressive church, this walk follows a quiet country lane through the village of Litton, from where it descends into Tansley Dale and then onwards into Cressbrook Dale. From the village of Cressbrook with its impressive converted mill, the route follows the River Wye through Millers Dale to Litton Mill and on to the Angler's Rest pub, which makes a perfect lunch stop on the banks of the river.

After crossing the B6049 it follows another very attractive riverside track before climbing up into the village of Wormhill. From Wormhill the route passes through fields and along a stretch of quiet road back to Tideswell.

Step 12 - the 'footpath off to the left' does not have a yellow waymark, so I missed it and carried on the wrong path. Suggest instead it is rephrased to say, 'taking the footpath off to the left towards the barn.' David Gylee 19/09/2019

This is a lovely walk but on reaching Cressbrook Mill we found that the path was flooded. There is an alternative path but this is not mentioned in the instructions. Please could this be added.
