The Timbercombe area of the Cotswolds is visited quite a lot by people who live locally, but is not more widely known. In this short walk we explore this corner of the Cotswold escarpment. We climb the flank of Wistley Hill, gaining some glorious views over Cheltenham and the Severn Vale and then later over the Dowdeswell Valley to the east. The descent takes us through some stretches of attractive woodland. If you would like a longer walk and to explore Lineover Wood and Ravensgate Common, this route can be extended by including the loop of Walk 8607 at a halfway point. (See the Additional Info' section).
