The walk is to the south and east of Todmorden. After an initial steep climb out of the town, the terrain is fairly level and by using lanes and bridleways it avoids stiles, so it may be a good walk to take your dog on. Although it passes below Stoodley Pike, this is not the objective of the walk, but it can be added quite easily. There are good views throughout and a return along the canal right into the town centre and a few minutes from the start. Two pubs are passed en route, one early on and the second in a more strategic position.

What a super walk this was. Completed 1st March, 2014. A bit of everything, pretty canal, Mankinholes is very pretty. We did go slightly wrong as we went up London Road towards Stoodley Pike as the GPS went a little haywire - lesson learnt (ignore gadgets!). Stunning views and excellent photography again.

Does what it says on the tin. Excellent walk with dog. Only drawback is some of the lanes are quite stony.
