This linear walk, which follows first Wycoller Beck and then Colne Water, was devised because we couldn't take a coach to Wycoller. It turned out to be a delightful, almost level, walk mostly along the riverbanks where we discovered gravelled tracks serving nature reserves created on old industrial land, paths that aren't yet on maps. After our coach dropped us in Trawden by the library it waited for us in Boundary Mill car park on the edge of Colne, which gave us toilets, refreshments (and shopping) at the end of the day. There are three ways of managing this walk: two cars, somebody who'd be happy to spend the day in Boundary Mill after dropping you off, or the M3 bus which runs direct from the main street in Colne to Trawden. It's an unusual walk and one I would recommend.
