We did this walk on 25/09/2020. Point 6: despite the previous Comments by other walkers, we still took the wrong path and had to back-track! 'Rose Cottage' is not signed. Where the road swings hard right, the path straight ahead has a footpath sign and a nearby homemade house name 'Forest Edge' - do not take this route! Take the similar, but unsigned path to its left, to reach 'Rose Cottage' in 150-200 yards.

Did this walk today after a week's heavy rain. Muddy in places but not excessively so. Enjoyable walk . A couple of hopefully helpful clarifications. In point 5, at 'On reaching another T junction with a path', turn right (not left) and then almost immediately left through a kissing gate onto a path between low stone walls and go up etc. At the beginning of point 6 'Where the road swings' left (not right), of the two driveways facing you take the right hand one. This leads you up to Rose Cottage, etc.

We did this walk today (30/8/14) - very enjoyable. At the end of point 1, where the instruction is to take the sign to Catbrook and Tinterm - there are two roads and it is the left one that you need to take - this could be made clear as the sign is not. HOWEVER - we took the one to the right and if you walk about 300 metres, you find an excavation site which is work in progress, possibly the old village site of Trelleck which was, according to the 'diggers' there, one quarter the size of London in its heyday. It's worth the diversion. If you do divert, then retrace your steps to a lane immediately after the site on your right which will take you straight to point 2. Also at point 6, the sign to Rose Cottage is no longer there. There are three driveways; take the middle one which leads to Rose Cottage. Hope that this is helpful to some people.
