The outward route is beside the River Lark, using The Lark Valley Way path. The return uses part of the Icknield Way and is along tracks and a country lane back into Tuddenham St Mary. There is a very good pub, the 16th Century The Olde Bull Inn, partway round. It is open all day, seven days a week and is packed with historic interest!
Near the end of the walk is the Cavenham Heath, a nature reserve, where you can if you wish use the three trails, heathland, wetlands and / or woodland walks.
