Whether it's the striking skyscrapers of the Barbican Estate, the simple and dramatic form of the Tate Modern or soaring Art Deco tiers of Senate House, London's diverse 20th Century architecture can be as impressive and artistic as anything from the previous centuries. Prepared with help from the 20th Century Society, this walk visits a few of the many notable, recently built buildings in three distinct areas of the capital.
Linking so many of these buildings in a single walk gives a chance to study and contrast the designs and better understand the intent of the modern architects behind them. It is an opportunity to see the beauty beyond the concrete.
