If you like bluebells, you can't beat a stroll through Portbury Wood. It is fantastic and a great, uplifting experience in springtime.

Combine that with a visit to Tyntesfield, a National Trust property formerly owned by Lord Wraxall (and also offering teas and toilets!), along with a glimpse at another estate. (I like the walled gardens best myself!)

I have started the walk by the pub in Portbury, but you can also start at Tyntesfield (Waymark 13). There is further parking by the road between Waymarks 15 and 16).
