From the public car park across from the Golden Lion Inn at Great Barugh (pronounced 'Barf') we walk over Great Barugh Hill, one of the highest points in the vale, with extensive views towards the Flamingo Land Fun Park two miles away and Pickering itself. We walk on tracks and field-paths via several farms, crossing the River Seven on a footbridge, to arrive in Brawby. A short road section returns us to our start point in Great Barugh.
