This walk uses less-frequented paths and bridleways to rise to the Moorcock Inn at a height of 250m, giving superb views across the Ribble Valley. Waddington Village, the base for the walk, is particularly attractive. The inn, recommended by Les Routiers, is host to Clitheroe Round Table and Ribblesdale Round Table monthly meetings and to Southport Ramblers' annual anniversary dinner and is strategically placed at the halfway point on this walk.

We tried this walk 08/11/2011 and found it to be a waste of time, due to the state of the ground, water logged for the most part.From 3-4 8-11 & 13-17 was very bad, so bad we called it a day at 17 and used the lane back to Waddington. We would suggest it is not walked until we have a drought. Henry. Stockbridge Ramblers
