The walk is about 3.3 miles but you could continue on Walk 3 (Ref 9106) for a 7 mile walk if you wish. For the next 5 miles the West Devon Way is on a popular shared cycle track known as route 27.
If you have completed Walk 1 (ref 9104) you will know that it ended at Saltram and not the Park-n-Ride. Part of the section between Saltram and the Park and Ride car park will be included at the end of this walk but if you are determined to do every bit of the West Devon Way then its only about a mile there and back to where Walk 1 left the West Devon Way.
When you walk under the Marsh Mills Flyover have a look at the concrete art (some call it graffiti) on the pillars some are really quite good. Also, just after you set off you will be walking on the Sculpture trail so see how many you can spot. The trains that you can see from the park and ride are run by volunteers and ply back and forwards between here and Plymbridge and sometimes they put on a steam train. If you are feeling really lazy or have children that might not want to walk 3 miles then take the train to Plymbridge and walk back.
