Starting at the station you soon join the sea front for a couple of miles and enjoy the great views and the fresh sea air. If the tide is out, you can follow this stretch along the beach, but the instructions follow the path beside the sea wall. There are plenty of opportunities for refreshments along this route (especially in the summer months).
After climbing a steep set of steps, there is a short stretch along a cliff top as you pass The Naze Tower and a cafe, a few field paths and on the return includes a few residential roads and a lovely stretch along a creek before arriving at the town centre, where you can browse the shops before returning to the station.
An excellent all round family walk.
